ASIC Test Engineer (Freelance Possible)

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and planning the work packages across the different stages of ASIC development, in close collaboration with the Project Manager. You will play a key role in setting up and coordinating the ASIC test solutions in partnership with external test houses.

You will manage the transition from prototype to volume production by defining and aligning the ramp plan, including characterization and qualification activities. This includes ensuring a smooth and efficient scale-up process while maintaining quality and performance standards.

Once the volume ramp phase is completed, you will take ownership of organizing and supporting volume production. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing cost optimization strategies. These may include yield improvement programs, multi-site testing approaches, and alternative packaging solutions, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

• Master’s degree in Electronics or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in ASIC testing
• Strong knowledge of ASIC qualification standards (e.g., HTOL, HAST, Temperature Cycling, ESD, Latch-Up)
• Proven experience working in project-based environments
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor test equipment is considered a plus
